I think in our times (at our age) the loss of a parent, may be expected, but is still difficult. My Mom died in 1997 and Dad in 2001,and as an only child the notion that someone has lost the gift of parent touches a very special and soft spot. Judy, please accept my condolences for your entire family. John

Dear Judy, Your father remains a happy memory from my childhood when he came to our family's house to repair our Zenith television. You've probably heard that from many people whose televisions he repaired. What I recall, along with his big black case of glass tubes was his cheerful presence and laughter with my parents...they'd all known each other for a long time. Your father nicknamed my mother "Joanie." No one else called her anything but Joan, and we loved hearing his laughter with Ben and "Joanie" while he worked on our televison. It was a big deal when we heard that Mr. Corvette was coming over after supper, carrying the black case. I also remember Daddy taking Barbara and me to Memorial Stadium to watch your father operate his remote controlled planes, which we talked about for years, and one time we came out to see the pigeons. Your sweet father made an indelible impression on my sister and me all those many years ago, and in my mind the memories remain as fresh as yesterday. May he rest in heavenly peace.
